A workshop to validate the sixth national biodiversity report was held in Kinshasa, capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. DR Congo has been a party to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in acronym since 1994. The CBD has three goals, which are: - the conservation of biological diversity; - the sustainable use of its components; - and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits arising from the exploitation of genetic resources. The CBD Executive Secretariat asks each member country to submit a National Report after four years. This is how DR Congo should submit its National Report since December last year. In fact, the Report was well established, the Focal Point of the CBD in the person of Mr. Mike Ipanga was congratulated by the S.G of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development as well as our financial partners, for the great work done night and day.
